BLOGGING... we do it because we need to keep our sanity, or share our voice... or just test the waters of various skills and interests that we have. If you don't have a blog and are considering one... start it here. And share it with your sistas.  (but you don't have to)

2008 Congressional Black Caucus

Sunday, May 11th @ 12:47 AMpost viewed 80 times

We are pleased to invite you to participate in the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s 38th Annual Legislative Conference.  This year’s program will take place in the heart of our Nation’s Capitol from September 24–27 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

In this year of unprecedented political inroads, we come together under the theme Embracing the Promise, Realizing the Vision.   What was once thought to be beyond our grasp is now at our fingertips. For the first time in years, we have a renewed energy and sense of purpose.  We must harness this wave of possibility.  We have breached the plateau of complacency.

The Annual Legislative Conference is a time for our community to gather from around the country, present our shared issues, brainstorm resolutions and establish an action plan for the coming year.  We look forward to your contribution as we move forward to address the issues that disproportionately impact African Americans.

Please browse through this brochure, register early and be sure to attend what promises to be one of the most groundbreaking ALC Conferences to date.   We look forward to your enthusiastic participation.  We are living the dream.   Register at http://alc2008.org/index.php?option=com_frontpage&Itemid=1

Sincerely,

Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick
Member of Congress
Chairwoman, Congressional Black Caucus

Corrine Brown
Member of Congress
Honorary ALC Co-Chair

Gregory W. Meeks
Member of Congress
Honorary ALC Co-Chair
